650 Engine mountings....
The "teardrop" nuts...
What sized bolt do they require? Somehow I have managed to lose one of them.
The manual gives torque figures for 8mm & 10mm bolts.
Would I be right in assuming the bolt would be a standard M10?
I have pulled the Suzuki part number from csnl.com, but if a standard bolt will do, it will save me faffing and ordering one!
Cheers,
J

Metric Fine 1.25mm pitch...........But im sure a 1.50mm Pitch nut and bolt would do the same job.

Re: 650 Engine mountings....
Thanks chaps....
I will use the teardrops - I don't like the look of using a conventional nut
I'll take the teardrop up to the local nut and bolt supplier tomorrow and get them to try 1.25 and 1.5 pitch and see which fits the best, after I have checked what length I need!
Cheers,
J

Re: 650 Engine mountings....
you need a 1.25..... bobster is saying if you don't have that.... then use a 1.5 nut n bolt (ie: not the teardrop version
)

Re: 650 Engine mountings....
That's the problem Scott....
I put things somewhere so I don't lose them, then can't find them!
I remember once doing the clutch on my car, and Rover had helpfully used 2 different threads on the bellhousing bolts - So I put them in a "safe place" so I knew what went where etc. Half an hour later and after much swearing and cursing I remembered I had put them between the fusebox and the inner wing! That was after a couple hours of putting them there.... You can imagine what it's like after a couple of days!
