John,

All done.

They were as near as dammit anyway, after being bench set.

I now have an electrical problem that has reared it's ugly head - The 3 wires that come from the alternator coils are getting uncomfortably hot, to the point that they are too hot to touch.

Reg/Rec anybody>

Stick a meter on the battery and see whats going into it. Sounds like reg/rec.

is your reg rec properly earthed? and what are you getting at the battery with the motor running?
