The reason I ask about frame number is it is late and could be a genuine UK reg , the log book will state however. 72 A is a jap model ;

The reason I ask about location is a tank is coming up to the Manc'ee kat rally.
a trip "overt thills" and the grail of pop up holiness could be in your hands!!!

Keith,
I've got a popup that doesn't really need restoring and a 750ES that does need restoring. Both for sale.

Fossie, when i first bought this bike the clocks were in kph and it had the jap speed limit light that used to scare the crap out of me thinking it was the oil light coming on! :D

No probs Keith, I sold a perfect popup restoration project last year for £700, mechanically good, cosmetically bad, was a uk bike too.

Nicky/gaz, your bike chassis prefix is GR72A, Jap spec, could be official import or gray import, as they both had the 80kph light, uk had an overlay on the speedo face with green numbers, inside the clocks not stuck on top of the glass/plastic. plus it would say on log book "first registered oversea's" grey import or "declared new at first registration" official import. or words to that effect.

Where the hell has that last bike been for the last quater century, looks like it has been a feature in a giant fish tank since 1987:shock:

Good on you for taking it on, tho i dont envy you the amount of work/money/time its going to cost.
For my tuppence worth id put it back as close to standard as you can get ;)

I know what you mean. If/when i manage to get a set of 4-2 for my pop up the baffles will be modified to produce a more pleasing exhaust note :D
