750 vs 1100 engine mounts differences

Post by B2BC » Thu May 29, 2014 11:52 am

hi all
im in the process of fitting mk1 b12 lump into 750s2 frame not as easy as first thought.
warpspeedracing uk do a engine mount kit for the 11 frame to take oil burner but not for 750 frame.
when i spoke to wsruk he said his never tried the kit on 750 frame so he doesnt know if the kit will work on 750 with b12 motor as he said the mounts are quite different :?: .
all i want to know is if i buy the 11 conversion kit (£110) can i use it to fit b12 motor in my 750 frame, what the differences between 1100/750 engine mounts
if i can use part of the kit to get the engine placed right then i can make other mounts that are different.

I'm pretty sure the only difference is the lower left mount on 750 is slightly further forward, sure somebody will be along soon to confirm/correct me.

those mounts are for an aircooled 1100 motor m8... op wants to fit a B12 motor into the 750 frame.

the £110 will be fine WITH THE EXCEPTION of both lower engine mounts. a lot of people simply leave them off or you can make a carbaord template once the motor is in the frame 9speak to Pedda nicely for drawings of the mounts)... tbh I'd personally buy the kit and speak with Pedda for the drawings for the lower mounts. I'd guess that kit will be nice cnc mounts so bite the bullet ;)

pedda sent me the drawings on oss
wsr are waiting confirmation that the mounts they having made definitely fit
as the first batch didnt work.

so what from you said the kit will work but the lower mounts (under engine) are different. thats not a problem for me to make them ones.
im also waiting reply from evomoto on iom as they fitted b12 lump into kat 750 frame so they may have a kit or the drawings i could use.
would prefer to buy them from wsr but looks like a 8 week wait.
