tail piece molding part?

while looking through robinsons for few parts im missing in one of the diagrams showing seat/tail parts theres a seat tail molding piece ,looks like it goes where tail light fits looked at my tail unit and it hasnt got one so i ordered it anyway just wondering what it is/does and did i need it cheers

rubber edging strip. Finishes off the edge neatly

Its just a rubber seal that goes around the edge between tail fairing and light, but most have either deteriorated or lost and never replaced

look a lot cleaner with them on however.... and stops them rattling if a little close
