Replacement rear shocks on a 650

Post by harriskat » Sun Jul 06, 2014 9:03 am

My mate gary who bought fossies 650 off him at mancee 2012 is in need of some new rear shocks.

what shocks will fit?? obviously don't really fancy putting a shock of the same year bike as chances are it will be done in the same.

So do any shocks off a more modern bike do the job??

As is the norm cost also dictates so need to be cheap.

Any shocks ,the same length and eyes will fit, Hagon do a good set, Ikon are Koni made under licence, but any on that auction site will suffice. Depends on expenditure and usage.

Yeah I know hagon and all that do them. but that wasn't my question. Do we know of any that fill fit off a newer model of bike???? I can do all the leg work of measuring shocks n that. But surely someone has already done this change????

the problem with getting something off a more modern ride is the shaft... not both sides have the same eye pattern. the shaft side is an eye and the other side is a fork at the bottom..... so trying to find something with that same config should keep ya busy. still, that again doesnt answer your question but will perhaps give an insight into why i answered with what i did..........
