Re: Cadwell Park crmc this weekend
Good result Malc.
Congratulations on getting the Championship. As some one who has to work at being a decent road rider, getting round a track in a hurry is pretty daunting. Apart from a bit of marshalling up at Sculthorpe in the '80s I've never ridden on a race track.
Last meeting is Snetterton, but I'm in Lincolnshire
Big finish there then.

Re: cadwell Park crmc this weekend
Thanks all
I striped the bike down and had both front and rear ends off, tweaked the swingarm a bit as it had a slight twist, checked the shocks, all straight, checked the forks, all straight, tweaked the yokes as they were a bit out, checked the steering bearings, Brands hatch gravel in there
put new bearings in and put it all back together, wheel alignment almost perfect now and smooth when turning the bars. also put new plug caps and plugs in. I think lots of small things contributed to the bad handling but mainly grit and gravel in those headstock bearings. I couldn't work out how the gravel got in there at first but after a closer look the steering stem is hollow and there's a slot up the side for the steering lock, the gravel got pushed up there hard enough to mash the bottom of the headstock a bit, I had to file it to get the old race out, no permanent damage though.
the misfire must have been the original 33 year old plug caps.
