Drill out the blind rivet which holds the lock and it's cap, then you can pull it out.

I had the same problem with mine, had to carefully drill out the rivet and also the lock innerds because it needs turning to remove the lock barrel.................or at least mine did!

In the new lock kit you get a shiny new lock cover and splined rivet, so if you grind the rivet head off with a dremell or similar rotory tool you'll be left with just the lock barrel and a bit of rivet head sticking out!

Sometimes you can get a grip on the remains of the rivet head with a pair of vice grips and it will come out if you turn it Anti-clockwise!
If you do have to drill out the rivet head dont use a too big drill as the new rivet will be too small and too sloppy in the hole.................oh mrs!

I got my new lock from Crooks Suzuki

Thanks Ill sort that out after I get the thing started. Its become increasingly difficult to start ,it had stood unused for 5 years so new plugs and fresh petrol brought her back to life. But now shes almost impossibe to start so Im off to the garage to take the carb off and clean the jets and check over the choke.Wish me luck
