where to buy parts
May be a silly question? I know Robinsons do a lot of genuine Suzuki parts, but is there anyone else that is good? Sadly, Slingers of Preston, who I used to use all the time are no longer around and I need to buy lots of little missing bits and engine gaskets, seals etc.
Names I have heard of but do not know anything about - Crooks Suzuki, Suzuki performance spares, Grumpy?
Recommendations please............

Crooks are good. Bobster is banned from there apparently. Kept nicking stuff.
Worth buying a tub or 2 of bolts if your not fust about original.

Re: where to buy parts
I've used B&B Lincoln for a rocker cover gasket and front engine stud O-rings and exhaust gaskets. Excellent service from a guy called Tony however the exhaust gaskets were pattern and obviously there's loads of places do them cheaper.
Also used Padgetts of Batley for pilot jets and bungs. They had to be ordered but were here in about a week and they posted them to me.
Have nothing to compare them to pricewise and never entered my head to try haggle for discount or anything.
Did try York suzuki centre who i've used years ago but the old guy i dealt with must have retired and they've gone downhill since. Would go as far as saying they are appalling and will never go there for genuine parts again.

I used CMS in the past - they're located in the Netherlands but do shipping. Fast Service.

Re: where to buy parts
I would recommend b&b suzuki lincoln as well, caused a lot of confusion for poor Tony when i needed a new clutch lever for my 250 kat, he spent ten minutes on the phone with me while he measured all the levers he had in stock until he found the right one, great service!

Never liked Slingers,
when I had my first XN I went for a part, their response was
" what's an XN85" !!!!

Re: where to buy parts
I have dealt with BB Lincoln on numerous occasions and find Tony one of the most helpful and accomodating of people. Not the cheapest in the world I admit, but I do reccomend them.

Re: where to buy parts
thanks for the opinions. Sounds like a choice of three good Suzuki dealerships, which is good. Will be needing a full gasket set, valve stem oil seals etc for the SD motor rebuild. May give all three a call and see has the best stock!
