Hi can anyone tell me is the starter motor from an efe the same as a Kat 1000? And does anyone have a starter motor for a Kat they would like to part with?

Different but you can use one of you also use the idler gear - test the 1000 with your 1100 starter first bud

yes I will Sparki, just testing the water! 
It would have been easier to take the one of out of my part built E as theres no carbs etc In the way.
