ebc clutch

Post by wraith » Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:07 pm

Well went out for a nice ride today.
Then the clutch went  I put a new EBC clutch kit in the Kat at the end of last summer as the old clutch had gone.
So I checked the steels where all OK and put the EBC frichion plats in, I then got toled by some one of OSS the EBC one will go very quickley in a gsxf motor, he was very wright.
I've done about 200 miles and there is no frishion left on the frishion plats  and now the steels are goosed as well.
So just to say if your fitting a new clutch get OE ones they may cost more be there worth it ;)
When I got off the bike the motor was so hot I could not tuch the motor  and yes I've checked that oil is getting round the motor, buy the esay way, I unbolted all the oil pipes one by one and turned the motor over, made a big mess out side the house ooouuupppssss :)

Hmm,I've got an EBC clutch plate kit I picked up very cheap on the bay a few years ago. Methinks it might go back on ebay and put the money towards some OE kit.
Thanks for the heads up.
