pop up clutch push rod

Post by jmac » Wed Nov 04, 2015 10:03 am

I appear to have mislaid the connecting rod that activates the clutch, if I don't find it, would it be possible to make one from a piece of rod and if so, any idea of the dimensions?

There's actually 2 bits to the push rod but it usually the long one that gets lost.

Both are actually available new and their part numbers are: 2311032C50 for the longer one on CMSNL at 15euro, and 2311115501 for the short one at 9.5euro.

I'm pretty sure it's a generic Suzuki part so I'll wager that there's a few floating around in breakers yards that would fit, BUT, sadly I don't know what model.

If anyone can help on that score it'd be pretty useful as I seem to recall one of my spare engines is missing the rod too.

2 ? I think you will find the pop up is 1 ,old GSX 250/400 were 2 pieces but that was changed .

The pop up one is longer than generic ones because the piston area as opposed to worm drive.

Making one will be problematic because it is heat treated and chromed otherwise the seal will rip.

Let the moths out!
