Tyre sizes

Post by KatanaBob » Wed Jan 11, 2017 9:21 pm

Evening Chaps!
What size tyres are people running on their Pop-ups these days??
I know what the manual says... but is anyone running anything better?
When i bought mine it had 150/60-17 on the back and 120/80-16 on the front.
I want to put new rubber on and cant decide what to go for?!

Jesus that must handle like a tractor.
The original sizes are 100/90 16 front ...120/ 90 /17 rear. For most. Or : Aussie model comes with 130/80/18. The rims really don't take the sizes that are on as it will distort the tyre rise when warm.

The best and only tyre available for a 16" front is the Bridgestone BT 45 , really is the best option. In my honest option measured on the 26 years of ownership with about 250,000 miles .

Haha! Havent had a chance to test the handling yet but i figure the extra large tyres will work brilliantly in 2 meters of snow i have on my drive way! :) I was thinking about fitting Bridgestones but thought i would seek the wisdom of wise first :)
