Darn sarf....you have to cross Morder to get there... Yes.. some nice big wide roads but mostly narrower where I am...bought my brother's gsxr1100m in 1996, but the wrong choice of tool for the job...just sold it, hence the 80's revival...back then, quickest bike from my place to the beach..5 miles was my mate Pete's tt500 twin 2stroke engine in a blue dulux x5 chassis..with metzeler sports comp tyres..by a mile..!!

A lot of folks round here going away from hyper bikes, getting Humphrey Darlington's...or moosive trailers with box type armour plating...

There is a lair about a mile from a mate...on ordenance survey map shows quarry, foliage has filled it and the wind keeps it level...large prints round the edges regularly... I have seen the tail of something large clearing a tall Cornish hedge and other mates have had to stop in the road for them...

A 250 or 400 Kat would be interesting down there.
The big cat I saw was in a field at nancledra in broad daylight and I saw it as I drove over a cattle grid in front of a gateway. I reversed back and it had gone. Mk2 golf on a cattle grid not the best for stealth mission lol
I saw another near goole in East Yorkshire a fortnight ago.
An rgv250/Kat 250 hybrid....that would be fun!

I had a 250lc bored and fitted with 125dt mx pistons.. 275cc was quoted I think..so long ago..fitted a 350 leg to give twin discs and powervalve calipers, chrome allspeeds..best laugh ever..sold it for £500, white, no decals..didnt have time..St Austell area..when the Mrs got pregnant (?)..(!!)..bought an old cavilier off mother in law.. LC perfect for Bodmin moor or polzeath blasts...we had a mate on caravan site there...lots of happy daze..!!

.. north York's..I have family in Staithes.. hammered my blue white gs1000s there non stop..fuel excluded!!..got lost onto M4 from M5..ninja'd cross country to M40 then ok..big radar dishes across the moor.. similar to Dartmoor...alien brand Simpson copy helmet little noise protection and pushed too hard on way home and dear in right ear for 24 hours.. race baffled Harris..!! EDV###T... traded in for spondon gsx11. in 89/90 ish..Gs went yealmpton area..on retension still..!

50! You are but a pup sir. As for midlife crisis , clearly some of us have been going through this episode for some time. Personally I have had some of my Kats for 25 years.
As for the right one, they are all the right one, they just need tweeking for the individual .
