TomTom Bakuon!! Katana Modification

Post by Uncle Bob » Sat Feb 16, 2019 9:01 am

Had to swap out my car and the new one has a built in TomTom SatNav which I haven't had before, so after a little play...

Bakuon!!'s Rin Suzunoki riding her GSX400S Katana for the "where you are marker"!

well it's the little things that keep me happy! I can't so far get my custom Katana turn on splash screen to show yet though...

How did you put that on your TomTom?
if at first you succeed, don't look suprised.

Hi Jimmy,

I used the info at https://create.tomtom.com/manuals/creat ... ymbols.htm. There are some other FAQs for the startup image as well (which I'll try again, but not sure Renault have fixed it with their logo on mine).

As I have a built in TomTom I had to eject the SDCard (via the menu on the TomTom) and put that into my computer and then I just copied the Katana BMP file I created directly into the art\cars folder on the SDCard. Obviously the notes say to use the TomTom home app which you can also do.

I have attached a ZIP file of the BMP (I had to ZIP it as the forum will not allow BMP files, so you'll have to pull that from the ZIP file)

Hope that helps!

there was at one time a katana download that you could add to the available bikes in the game grand theft auto san andreas (i think though it could have been vice city) for pc. then as well as all the scooters harleys and crossers, you could steal a katana after you have chopped up a drug dealer with your samurai sword.....

I never knew that John. I'm almost tempted to download a copy just to try the Kat out :-)

Nicky is referring to Kill Bill (1 & 2) - Hattori Hanzo was the master Japanese sword maker. Love those films - if you haven't watched them yet then you obviously have too many project bikes on the go!
