cant you only be a whore if youre getting paid for it? wouldnt that make you just a bit of a media slapper? however, if youre not earning from it, you thus retain your amateur status so you can be a slapper in the olympics, so its not all bad........ :-)

Well in the mists of this thread, I explained how I came to visit the Suzuki dealer in Bolton because he was the only who stocked brake pads.......
Well I passed on his number to my manager and thought no more of it.

Today he informs me that the new bikes should be ready for collection in 10 days. 20 Suzuki DL 650s
Yes 20 in total 2 for us in Manchester and 18 for London......because the deal was so good , all bikes will have heated grips, scottoiler, hand guards, main stands , alloy boxes and top box....£7500 each! :o
The luggage should be £750 but we get it at 225......

Stuff that mr ....it isn't worth holding brake pads in stock..... :D " look at what ya cuddawun"

Read the above and for a brief moment I was almost tempted out of retirement and onto a new bike. But then.....................

Join he club Fossie :-) I was (still am) nearly tempted by the new VStrom 650 but still find my 2004 version still performs well (apart from in the looks dept - friends call it the Wildebeest). I had a SV650 before that and the engine is really good (for solo riding). The VStrom one is tuned for more mid range rather than higher up as on the SV. It's pretty good in the twisties as well. It's fairly easy to work on as well, though as yours is a work bike maybe that wouldn't bother you. Did they get centre stands as well - makes life slightly easier though I haven't got one).
There was one for sale locally in Feb which I called up about but is was already gone - the guy had bought new last June with much same spec as yours (wire wheel version) done 75 miles and them had some illness so he couldn't ride it. Wanted £6k for it (which is probably why it went fairly quickly).
Anyway my 2004 is 15 years this year so it is a classic now.
