Has anybody used them? and can recomend what type/make to get, there seem to be quite a few around the net for just under £30 but any advice would be appreciated.

Front paddock stands
I am looking at buying a front paddock stand. Never used one before but i am sick of having to take my bikes to work and hang them with ropes from a beam to get the front wheel out.

Re: Front paddock stands
Got two different types. One supports the front beneath the stem, good if you want to take the forks out, too. The other one goes under the forks, just enough to work on the wheel.
Any front paddock stand will require a rear paddock stand to make sure the bike doesn't flip when lifted.

Re: Front paddock stands
i use my micron one, it fits in the stem of the bottom yoke and if you have a center stand you don't need use a rear paddock for the rear
Re: Front paddock stands
Or try an abba stand and car jack/block of wood/abba front stand etc

Re: Front paddock stands
Hi Guys,
I am thinking about getting a front and rear stand, as I need to work on my bike a bit.
But I look at the price of both it is about €70 for both, so I am thinking about using a middle one or make one. A couple of weld should sort this out.
Is anyone try a middle stand by any chance?
Cheers

Re: Front paddock stands
My bruv looked into welding the brackets on for a centre stand but found it wasn't feasible. I think he said it would foul on the radiator catch (overflow) tank!!
I'll confirm with him tomorrow but I'm sure that was it.
The abba stand that I mentioned is very handy & can be used with other bikes too http://www.abbastands.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Front paddock stands
Well, I finally bought one that lifted the forks and used it yesterday, worked perfectly and enabled me to remove the front wheel with no problems. Cost £26 including p&p well pleased
