The 650 is cable driven so you would need to suss up a connection to a coil at least then find the value to optimise it. Unless of course it has been done, sceptical to say the least.

I tried a digital tacho on an old cb900, made it run like crap even when connected as per the instructions...

I wasn't too worried about the digital display part working, as long as the needle moved correctly.
The last 2nd hand genuine Suzuki tacho I bought on Ebay didn't last very long before it broke, hence the query about using a pattern one.

Genuine rev counters I have a few of, if required but the price to non club members is extortionate .
