Carbs on, airbox and plenum chamber fitted. Just the exhaust to fit, fill it with flush oil and spin it over without the plugs fitted to see if there’s oil getting to the top end (hence the cambox cover missing) and I’m good to go. Getting nervous now and it’s going to take some courage to press the button with everything connected up :?

It lives :D
Everything back together and she fired up first time on the button!
I’ve fitted the Jama 4-1 for the time being as it’s a LOT easier to fit than the standard 4-2 zorst and I want to take the sump plate off to check all is ok inside and no more bath sealant appears inside
Gotta balance the carbs yet but she seems a lot quieter and less smokey than before. Fingers crossed 8-)
I’m just debating weather to leave the Jama on it or put the standard (bloody heavy) exhaust back on it. What do you think people?
Mmmm I’ve tried to up load a video but it comes up with an error

I’ve got a 4-1 on and I like it but then again I don’t have a full exhaust!
Personally I’d wrap the std exhaust up and keep it safe ready to fit when/if you sell it.
I’m thinking the same tbh plus the Jama is quiet which I like (I’m old now  ) it’s immaculate and it’s got SS down pipes and looks quite nice.
It weighs less than half the standard system which helps with me being a short arsed arthritic, 11 1/2st pensioner

Thanks Sam but I haven’t got a clue what that is  I’m a techno Luddite see
I just filmed the bike using my iPhone camera.

Oooooo! I got such grief from Fossie when I said I'd done the same... (though I also prefer the 4 into 1 Eagle on the bike anyway)

Just waiting for him to notice you and Paul doing the same...

 It's ok ...I've seen it .....so the bike came with a 4-1 , but then an amount of money was exchanged for an original exhaust because it was original......now a ( the same 4-1 ) is fitted because it is lighter and easier to fit ....also looks better!
So wrap up the expensive one so the next owner ( which should never be ...a Kat is for life) can be stored until it succumbs to the vagrates of time.
Now there's a plan.....
Just saying!

Well I hate 4-1 zorsts
The plan is to ride the feckker as all I’ve done since adopting it is throw money at putting past owners cock ups/lack of care right.
Oh and I think the original exhaust will be going back on at some point in the near future, did I mention I hate 4-1 zorsts

Well I've had the spanners out again this afternoon :? it's ok though as I've just dropped the cheepo oil after running it gently for about 50miles. I've had the sump and internal filter off to check for any remains of bathroom silicon & metallic nastys which thankfully there wasn't. A new hi flow filter and fresh Rock Oil mineral finished the job off. The remaining jobs are balancing the carbs, re-torque the head after 500miles and check the valve clearances.
