Silver paint

Post by PaulD » Mon Aug 26, 2019 7:17 pm

Is the Katana silver 13L available in a spray can?
After my topple over I’ve repaired the damage but I want to try and make it as invisible as possible.

Paul, I did two side panels and a mudguard on my 550 and also a tank which I unfortunately ruined at the lacquer stage. The comparison to 13L is excellent.

Right I’ve managed to repair the fairing to a reasonable standard and the Nissan starburst silver is a pretty good match, once I’ve polished it out with Tcut I recon it will be more or less invisible. I’ve ordered a pair of flush fit indicators but the buggers ain’t turned yet and I’m booked in for the MOT tomorrow at 10 so I’ve mounted the original one as it was undamaged in the tumble.
Fingers crossed my friendly MOT man doesn’t find seriously wrong!
I hate MOT time.

Well good news 8-)
MOT passed with flying colours and a lovely comment as to how nice it sounds and how shiny it is (just for Fossie)
Bloody typical the flush indicators turned up while I was out so that’s a job to do. Had a quick ride round of 20 odd miles just to make sure everything is good, the difference is remarkable from before and the motor seems to have more urge off the throttle, it’s mechanically quieter and it doesn’t smoke like a two stroke anymore. All I’ve got to do now is change the cheepo oil for the good stuff take the sump off and check for any nastys and fit a new oil filter.
Hopefully the only further expenses will be normal running costs :D
