Broken side panel fixing
Broken side panel fixing
Don't want to turn this into a Blue Peter style 'how to' but for ages I've been trying to find a way of attaching the side panels to my 250 Katana securely after the lugs had snapped off the panel, I've tried plastic welding the existing lug but after a couple of days the weld has snapped, then I tried heating up and melting a small metal pin into the side panel (carefully!) but again it gave up soon after, but had a brainwave yesterday (probably because I was bored with no football to watch) and used self adhesive velcro strips, avaliable at any supermarket, and stuck one side to the inside of the sidepanel and the other part to the bracket that holds the rubber grommet, so far it seems to have worked, the panel is flush with the tank and seems a solid fit, sticky back plastic would not be as effective
Re: Broken side panel fixing
