Still undecided, but as the UK idea only seemed to pick up 1 beyond host & organiser, doesn't seem viable, bike still in bits, see 'Rust'. Last time I checked ferry still available, but 'only essential journey'. But I think that's been lifted today?

Now we know we don't need to quarantine is it possible to get a list of who is still going (or at least planningt) from the UK, that might help Alexandre a little as well. I might edit and add names to one post to make it easier to see.
Hi all,
just checking whether you could go with Uncle Bob's proposal of a list - we're a bit blind regarding who's coming this year, (oui, oui, oui, you can prepare your complaints about the French way of NOT organising things ;) ) so getting an idea of the number of attendants would be great. The Kats are not the best bikes for last-minute groceries shopping, so it would be nice if we can have roughly what's necessary in the kitchen when you arrive !!!

While I'm at it, since we decided to do a low-profile "non-EK" event (which is still literally a European Katana meeting though !!!) we dropped the t-shirts project that came with it. But would you want some t-shirts done anyway ? I must admit I'm not even sure how we should call the event - Laurent went with the Katana Friends idea on Facebook, I must admit I'd have gone with EK8.5, EK 9.1 or EK9a or something similar... Or the "phantom EK9"... or the "EK9 Prototipo"... You can share your ideas and wishes !

Thanks in advance !

UB and I are planning on turning up.
But whether on Kats or Wildebeast and a Speed Trip (respectively) is yet to be finalised
I take it the 14 days quarantine is not a requirement when entering France now?

And I also had a thought about the Crit Air sticker, as neither my bikes have one and neither qualify for anything but the grey entry level version. Although I have applied for one for the Speedy

Oh and I do need to finish off re-commissioning the Triumph and investigate why the Kat became a 560 triple last week

Hi all,
regarding the Critter sticker, the system is completely crazy.
Our bikes are too old to get a specific sticker indeed, yet you must wear one (so if you really need one, get the "built before 1997") if you go though Paris.
Which you won't be allowed to ride into between 8:00 am and 20:00 pm anyway.
But if your Carte Grise says your bike is a collectible model, you can!
The other cities with "Zones de Circulation Réduite" are :
- Grenoble
- Lille
- Strasbourg
- Lyon
- Toulouse
From the UK you should not need to go through these for the meeting.
The Germans might have to do some swerving, though.
FYI, I don't have a sticker on any of my bikes. Here in Bordeaux we are still not into this system.
So : you should be safe riding "naked" this summer. And as there are so few tourists right now, I don't expect restrictions to be applied for an eventual pollution alert.
Fingers crossed !!!
;)
