Hi David,
Welcome to you and youre rare beast!
I have one too the fabled homologation model mikuni smoothbores and all .
Wonder how many were imported I think 250 was the magic number for homologation .
Mine wont show up on the sorn list as it is enjoying its retirement in a much sunnier climate although that did require a large oil cooler to be installed!
Enjoy the ride

Lucky you to have such a rare beast too. I think my brother told me that 1,000 of them were made worldwide, so that they could be homologated. I don't often communicate with him, (he lives over on your side of the pond now, in Farmington NM) but next time I do I will ask him if he knows how many came into the UK. He was working for a motorcycle dealer as a mechanic at the time he bought the bike new, so he might know.
David.

Re: Hello from near Guildford, Surrey.
Hi KatanaJack, your location, is that West Coast UK or US? GSF34058 seemed to imply you were in the US. If so, I'm West Coast US also, Anaheim, CA, about 30 miles South of L.A. Same city as Mickey Mouse. I have the US homologation Kat. I've always wondered how many are left in the US.katanajak wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 11:40 pmHi David,

Re: Hello from near Guildford, Surrey.
I was guessing that Katanajack's west coast was the USA, because "a much sunnier climate" and the need for an oil cooler does not fit in with UK or Irish weather. But if not the USA perhaps Western Australia fits the description better?
