Snapped Tacho Needle

Any advice on sourcing and replacing a broken tacho needle on a Kat 1000 please. I'd consider sending the clocks away to get reconditioned if that's what it takes. Thanks

many jap bikes of the same era had clocks made by the same firm, and whilst the cases were all different, many of the internals were very similar, for example early 1980's goldwing hondas have almost the same size and shape of clock needles as the kat, although the honda ones are white and not orange. take a trip to the breakers.

Hi alex,

there are companies out there which repair Kat clocks for quite a penny. At least I know one over here in my neck of the woods...
I made me some needles all by myself when I needed to.
