Does anybody have the definitive answer regarding the legality of the yellow headlamp bulb?

Cheers mate, I am taking my bike for m.o.t. tomorrow so if they say o.k. then yellow bulbs it is.

They have changed some of the MOT lighting regs last year I believe albeit not aware it affects colour??
It does make HID conversions, etc explicitly illegal unless factory fitted

I bet DVLA meant you can paint the socket of the bulb in any colour but still has to shine
bright 'n' white.
