4 into 2 exhaust recommendations
The innards of my 4 into 1 Neta have rotted and something is rattling around. I was hoping the removal of the rivets would allow the end cap and baffle etc to be removed but it’s a one piece bit of junk. Such as shame as the down pipes are in great condition.

Re: 4 into 2 exhaust recommendations
Neta rotted through...who'd have thought
Options ..find a company who can make down pipes for the pop up ...and get Marving silencers ..
Relatively Expensive maybe but once a set have been made , this option is available to everyone .
world wide ...
4-1.really only Laser which is now Marshall but difficult to source as its from Holland and they don't overstock for "vintage bikes "
Find a good used system on eBay / marketplace for a GS 700 ES /GSX750 ES .
Option one would be my preferred due to looks , but also longevity ..I have down pipes you could borrow ....to template I never found a fabricator .

Option 1 sounds interesting and certainly a follow up for the new year. I’ll ask around locally see what’s involved, and at what cost. Then if worth while I’ll take you up on the offer of using old uns for templates.
Have a great Christmas and good health for the New Year.

Fossie, what price do you think folk would pay for a set of down pipes? What other bikes would they fit, what market is there, just thinking speculate to accumulate
this time next year I’ll be a millionaire and own a boat,,,,,,,, anchor.
Might have to get a few orders prior to manufacture? Lots of questions.

Re: 4 into 2 exhaust recommendations
All the right questions , The models it would fit would be
Suzuki GSX 750 ES/D ,E , F ,G . GS 700 ES .d,e,f . GSX 750 SE , f,g .( pop up.)
Now Harris used to list the 750 GSX and GS 650 as the same part number which means as a 4-1 it would fit at the mounting points , checking the bend and rake as 4-2 May find it is the same for the down pipes and are compatible if, so wow the market is opened up , the 650 group is active in the zorst questions ..( same issue with 4-1 and no availability )
This whole project I tried to start years ago but at that time 4-1 were more abundant , so it stalled .
As for price , your right if the template is usable more times then any fabricator will be more willing.
At a guesstimate re price . One off £325 . + or - for coating in black.Couple that to Marving kit = £750
I did try to get motad involved many years ago , but during negotiations they went bust.
So if a batch could be preordered or bought then the price should come down to a more reasonable
Expensive but One off buy of £500.

Get money before you get anything made.
Years ago the Kettle Club members wanted rear brake cables, I found a source of good quality cables in Japan and needed a minimum order of 30. I had three people who actually would part with money up front!

Re: 4 into 2 exhaust recommendations
Basically it's what happened , I asked the question , got lots of interest, got to the stage of asking for definate orders and it went quiet .....BUT like I said now some 20 years later , the bikes are nearly 40 and aftermarket suppliers are sparser so this is right time to do this project ..
