Slippery seat

Hi, I have the problem of a very slippery seat, previous owner must of used a polish on it

I have tried soap and water and leather cleaner but still the same. Anyone had same problem?

This is a good time to re-cover in suede.

It was probably covered in silicon spray , we used to get bikes in the shop that people had 'veleted'...
Talcum powder lifts it .
