Went to look at Andy P's (Fishkat) Pop up last night. That also started pretty well after a 12 month slumber, with the aid of a new battery.
Unfortunately after its little sleep the headlamp no longer pops up. I know this is quite common an there are some weird hyroglyphics showing a wiring change etc in another bit of the forum but are these still available via webike or similar?
Im thinking of taking the plunge!

Headlamp not poping up after slumber....possible reasons;
1 corroded connections .
2 headlamp motor is stuck due to corrossion ie; the dreaded alloy furring .
3 control unit dry joints are now dryer than a dry thing on a desert day. :!:

Answers
1 disconnected all junctions and see if green stuff in there attack everything with joint cleanser .
2 spray the motor arm with WD40 and tunrn the red knob underneath , to wind h/lamp up and down .. then do it with ignition on and see if it ytrys to snap your hand off!! :lol:
Replace control unit ..A chap in Australia does a complete new wiring and control box ....not the worlds cheapest but if you were to find the original unit from Suzuki there were £189 about 15 years ago .. strangley that price would be the same now due to Suzuki pricing once policy ...but you'd be buying 40 year old tech ...modern version uses relays not restistors , capacitors , and solder.
Ideally you just need to borrow a control unit from someone that you know actually works as it should first to check thats all you is good other wise .. I wonder if there's anyone close to you ;) you know like in Ferriby :lol: :!: :lol:
