Played footy back in the day when I was young. Too old for that shit now. Bones and knees hold me off.

I used to play but have the same problems as Pedda, however had a kick about on the beach yesterday with my son.... Was knackered after 20 minutes !!!! :)

Was a 'keeper all my playing life too mate. Age 7 to about 28 then went and played American Football for 3 years (now that's fun trust me).

played as a kid for the school team and other local teams, got banned at 15yrs old, then found women,bikes,ciggys and beers, (life improved) stuff football, chasing a friggin blown up pig gut around on a cold frosty morning,no thanks ;)

broke both ankles twice by age of eighteen playing football

gave up to ride bikes as contact sport,

played a few times since but too old (and knackered) now

Used to play a bit for a local side as a yoof also played some cricket & was about to go for a trial with Sussex youth squad but a torn muscle in groin put paid to any aspirations I might have had!
Then like Si, i discovered far better past-times ;) :lol: :lol:

no interest in it at all, playing or watching, i have never had even a passing interest in it, and still cant see why people waste so much energy and effort on the game.
