Hi, finally came over to the new site but unfortunately I have lost my membership number
Anyway just wanted to find if the GSX750ES/EF engine the same as the PopUp? Can anyone please help to verify it as I need the camshaft for my PopUp restoration project. Will be posting up some pictures later.
Cheers.

The engine is the same but the cam shafts are different, slightly milder than your aus spec popup ones, although saying that you probably won't notice too much difference, they should pop straight in.
the only other difference with the engine that i know of is the clutch is cable instead of hydraulic.

Thanks for replying. I'm currently looking for the two camshafts for my popup. Do you know where I can get them?

i guess ebay or a breakers, you might have to buy a cheap 2nd hand engine for the cams if no-ones breaking one. alternatively you could get the std cams reprofiled/reground, i'm sure someone must do them where you are ?

Yes there are people here able to reprofiled/reground the camshafts. I'm still waiting for the cost but in the mean time trying to find out 2nd's or new one cost as well.

There is a member who isn't on here yet and stuffed his pop up last year, taking out crankend. I will be seeing him in a week or 2 so I will find out what we are doing with it.
I have a plan!!!!!!!!!! Which involves me not spending much time , but he -money.
