stupid tyre change question

Post by superfly » Wed Jul 20, 2011 9:04 am

Hi guys,

Got the new tyres yesterday and I am planning to get to the job on friday.
And I am wondering as I don't have the balancing weight and all, if I would not be better off bring the wheel to a random tyre place.

However I am not sure if a car tyre place are able to do the job?

Are they?

I saw that the weight are in the middle of the wheel and not between the wheel and tyre, can the weight be put between the wheel and tyre?

Basically a lot of silly billy question
Cheers

Best thing would be ask your tyre man if he can deal with a bike rim. I saw one who couldn't. Wheel balancing can be done at home easily using a sort of anchor chair.
What do you mean with 'between wheel and tyre'?
