air box

Post by askinmechanic » Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:25 am

hello all, i am doing a bit of updating to my pop up and wanted to keep the air box so that the standard set works well, anyway the more i look at it the more i am changing my mind, can anyone help me by telling me what the pitfalls of the pod filters are and what carb changes are needed if any, i am on a tight budget so if its a mamoth task ill leave the standard box in

thanks in advance

I removed my air box and fitted filters, am currently having lots if fueling issues, tried a few different jets and have had to resort to bike going on dyno next week. In conclusion if money is tight then leave the standard air box in there.

When my big popup was a std 750 i had v&m set the carbs for pod filters, it ran perfectly. I seem to remember the did something with the air corrector jets in the back of the carbs..
