footpegs

Post by BigLT » Thu Mar 01, 2012 11:17 pm

I want to fit alloy footpegs instead of the meaty rubber standard ones.

Does anyone know what ones from other bikes will fit? I think the 'gap' needs to be about 13mm

Thanks

Liam

There are later Kat models with nicer pegs. Dunno which years, but I bet somebody will...

One of my Kats has alloy pegs without any rubber on the them, they are really slippy and when I get chance will be changing them for some with a bit of rubber on top.

Point taken about slipperiness, but do you know what bike those pegs were initially intended for? I was hoping for one of those useful conveniences, like zx6 sprockets fitting.

thanks

the sd ones have ally bodies with small rubber grips on top. they will fit onto your mounts.

Thanks John, I will have a look at the sd ones, but I really want to go for a more racey look. I have alloy pegs on my other bike and that's a lot quicker than my kat will be, so I'm used to them. I know I'm a tart before you say anything...

Hmm, see what you mean, they're a lot less agricultural than the other ones .. off to that site we go!

My other Kat had the big fat rubber pegs and I changed those for the later SD (I think) versions which were a straight swap.
