idiot light bulb replacement

Post by lomsavage » Thu May 02, 2013 3:19 pm

how the hell do you get these things out, wont come off bracket because of speedo drive and although i've taken the screws out it doesn't seem to want to come off the clock assembly

or are they "idiot lights" cause i'm missing the obvious ???

cheers H

and yes it does mean i'm actually doing some work on a kat !!!!!

You'll have to take nearly the whole speedo apart to get to those bulbs. :(
Once you removed the nuts 'n' bolts which hold the speedo drive gear you can tear it off and you will be able to get the bracket off.

Trip knob removed so I could take main cover off

Now I'm inside clocks

Is speedo drive just "pull off" main clock body or is it twist and go
Seems pretty stuck to main clock assembly, is it just age or something else ?
