Hi from Surrey
Hi All
have joined as i want to start to build a 1100 kat from a pile of parts that i have - all pretty much standard but all pretty rough
all i am missing is a frame and logbook - any suggestions where i can get one from?
again i have the usual 'standard v modified' dilemma - i have built the last couple of bikes as very non standard (a 56 matchless G9 500 twin and currently a 78 750 bonnie) but thinking this needs to be standard .......
i had a 750 Kat with the pop up headlight in 1991 / 1993 when i lived in new zealand and loved it.

Hi and welcome. As well as asking here you could try asking on the Aircooled Suzuki (ACS) Facebook page as well. Haven't seen a frame for sale in a while though, but until you ask, you never know.
If you get a frame sorted, start a thread in the Project section so we can see your progress!

Re: Hi from Surrey
Hi there welcome along , 1100 frames and hens teeth are interchangeable nowadays .
A 750 Kat frame may be obtainable and are the same except the front engine mounts , but templates are again easily obtainable.
Maybe a GSX1100 ET Frame could be acceptable but would need a bit of lug welding , depends on your tools, expertise, or associates.

Re: Hi from Surrey
Do you want me to put a ask out on the ACS FB group? They do have a forum as well but they tend to be a FB bunch.
I do prefer our forum. The Project page is on this forum at viewforum.php?f=9
Actually SpondonChris has his 750/1100 thread top of the page (earlier images are missing from when the forum moved hosts unfortunately). Chris was the guy who lent the Team Classic Suzuki a 750 frame for them to copy for their Katana racer.

Re: Hi from Surrey
Welcome, and good luck with the build, hopefully when it's finished it can keep my 250 Kat company at Newlands Corner or Boxhill
